Chakpak is an Indian movie database and a social networking portal that needed a brand refresh and a new usability design. This change was to revitalize the next phase of the business and reach out to convert more visitors to registered users.

Brand Bollywood! Chakpak.com needed a brand identifier and assets that are as flamboyant as a starlet and yet retain the restraint of a resource center.
After exploring clichés like extruded type and other such kitsch we settled on a simple effective solution. The final logotype illustrates show business through usage of star bursts and social network through a conversation blurb.
The color palette was vibrant and the type was a display font custom designed as an uncial (a happy mix of upper and lower cases).
The tagline was created to capture the attitude and the spirit of the portal.
